The studio

A website is a business asset, not an online brochure.

It is where people decide whether to trust you, enquire, apply, donate or buy. Smart Creator Lab is a founder-led studio that brings strategy, design and development together, so your website is clear about who it serves and built to keep working long after launch.

Every project starts with the people the website serves: what they need to find, understand and do. Design and technology follow from that — never the other way round.

  • Strategy

Clear goals, audiences and page purposes agreed before design begins.

  • Design

Distinctive, accessible interfaces that make your organisation easy to understand.

  • Development

Fast, secure WordPress builds your team can manage with confidence.

Services

Design and development, under one roof.

From a single landing page to a full organisational website and the care that keeps it running. Scope is always shaped together in consultation.

How we work together

A clear process, from first conversation to launch.

Four stages, each with defined deliverables and a clear point where you review and approve before we move on.

  1. Discover

We start with conversation, not wireframes: your organisation, your audience, what is working today and what success should look like. I review your current site, content and competitors before proposing anything.

You receiveA written brief, agreed goals and a clear proposal with scope, timeline and cost.
  2. Define & design

Sitemap, page structure and content priorities come first, then the visual direction. You review designs for key pages and we refine them together until the direction is right.

You receiveSitemap, wireframes and full designs for approval before development begins.
  3. Develop & refine

Approved designs become a fast, accessible, responsive website on a staging link you can click through on your own devices. Feedback rounds are planned in, not squeezed in.

You receiveA working staging site, scheduled review rounds and progress updates at each milestone.
  4. Test, launch & hand over

Cross-device testing, accessibility and performance checks, then a planned launch. You receive a walkthrough of how to manage your content, so the website stays yours.

You receiveLaunch checklist, editor training, documentation and an optional support plan.

Throughout the project you have one point of contact, a shared review link, and agreed feedback rounds at every stage. Nothing moves to the next stage without your approval.

Case studies

The thinking behind the work.

Each case study follows the same honest structure: the problem, the decisions, and what was learned — with measured results kept separate from observations.

Site audit, information architecture, visual design, WordPress theme development, content migration, accessibility testing

Body of Benchers website redesign

The problem
The old site ran on a stack of page-builder plugins (Astra, Elementor Pro, Smart Slider). It looked dated, and it was hard to keep accurate. My audit found: Directories were long blocks of text.…
Key objective
Give the Body a look that matches its standing: dignified, current and clearly Nigerian.

GTpave IPW 2027 event website

The problem
The old gtpave.com looked like an event site but could not do an event site's main job: take a delegate from interest to a paid registration. Empty key pages. Programme, Speakers, Committee and Sponsorship…
Key objective
Make registration complete end to end: fee, details, travel needs, payment instructions, a reference number and proof-of-payment upload in one flow.

Why work with me

A creative partner, not a production line.

A founder-led studio means fewer hand-offs, faster decisions and someone who genuinely cares how your website performs after launch.

  • 01

    You work with the founder

No account managers or hand-offs. The person you brief is the person who designs and builds your website.

  • 02

    Strategy before pixels

Every page has a job. We agree what each one needs to achieve before deciding how it should look.

  • 03

    Built to be managed

WordPress sites set up so your team can update content confidently, without breaking the design.

  • 04

    Accessible and fast by default

Semantic markup, keyboard support, readable contrast and lean code are part of the build, not optional extras.

  • 05

    Transparent from day one

Written proposals, defined milestones and honest advice — including when a smaller solution is the better one.

  • 06

    Remote-ready, worldwide

Based in Abuja, working across time zones with clear written updates and calls scheduled at times that suit you.

Questions

Good questions to ask before you start.

Something else on your mind? Start a brief and ask it there.

How does a project start?

Send a brief through the project planner. I read every enquiry personally, then we arrange a conversation to understand your goals. If it is a good fit, you receive a written proposal with scope, timeline and cost before any work begins.

How much does a website cost?

It depends on scope: the number of templates, functionality, integrations and how much content needs to be created. Rather than publishing fixed packages that may not fit, I prepare a proposal for your specific project. The planner lets you share an indicative budget in your own currency.

How long will my project take?

A focused landing page needs far less time than a multi-section organisational website. Your proposal includes a timeline with milestones, and content readiness is usually the biggest factor in keeping to it.

Do you work with clients outside Nigeria?

Yes. I am based in Abuja and work remotely with clients in other countries, using written updates, shared review links and calls scheduled across time zones.

Will I be able to update the website myself?

That is the goal. Websites are built on WordPress with editing set up around your content, and handover includes a walkthrough so your team can make everyday changes confidently.

What do you need from me?

Your goals, access to any existing brand assets, and someone who can give feedback and approvals. If your content is not ready, we can plan for it in the timeline.

Do you offer support after launch?

Yes. Ongoing maintenance and support can be arranged after launch, covering updates, backups, monitoring and small improvements. The scope is agreed in advance so you know exactly what is included.
